Yanai Segal is an artist based in Tel Aviv. He makes works in a variety of mediums and styles including painting, sculpture and installation. His work speaks about the search for spirituality in contemporary life and culture often combining disparate or even opposite ideas or materials to create new modes of expression. His works reference local architecture, culture, design and religion and often use the emotive properties of the materials they are made from as the primary means of expression. Often abstract although not exclusively his works blur the line between the everyday and the sublime.
